John brings a passion for life and family to Bedre Health, with almost 30 years experience in providing healthcare John is a dual board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. John received his Family Nurse Practitioner degree from University of Massachusetts Boston and his Psychiatric training from the University of Massachusetts Medical School. He is currently licensed in the states of Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Vermont, Florida, Washington, North Dakota, Idaho and Colorado. At this time John has limited availability but is currently accepting new patients.
As a nurse practitioner, John provides a down-to-earth patient centered psychiatric approach, focusing on psychiatric evaluations and medication management for a wide range of psychiatric conditions including anxiety-related disorders, mood disorders, trauma, ADHD, and weight-loss.
John’s approach is a relatable, stigma reducing, zero judgement, application of evidence based practice that encoumpases medicine and mental health scientifically proven strategies to help my patients live their BEST lives. Just like physical therapy goes hand in hand with orthopedic related issues I believe psychiatric medications and therapy go hand in hand.
In Leslie’s practice, her multifaceted background serves as a wellspring of insight and understanding, fostering an environment of acceptance where clients feel empowered to embark on their healing journey. Through her guidance, individuals gain invaluable self-awareness, navigate through losses, challenge unhelpful thoughts and beliefs, and take decisive steps towards personal growth. Central to her approach are modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Theory, and mindfulness, all wielded skillfully to empower clients to recognize their strengths and forge a path towards their best possible lives.
